Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Medical Device - Woburn, MA
This role supports the development and manufacturing of biologic medical devices, focusing on implantable biologic materials. Responsibilities include new product development, process engineering, analytical testing, and validating tissue‑processing steps. The position is highly technical and hands‑on, supporting both existing product lines and new biologic research initiatives.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop, refine, and validate manufacturing processes for biologic tissue products.
- Create and improve test procedures, support product expansion, and optimize existing biologic product lines.
- Support technology transfers for new biologic products, including tissue and solution testing.
- Conduct research into new implantable biologic products, including literature reviews and benchtop studies.
- Perform analytical testing across chemistry, bioanalysis, materials science, and process engineering.
- Execute routine tissue testing, including histology, biological assays, chemical assays, and mechanical testing.
- Apply strong experimental design and data analysis principles.
- Work directly with human and animal tissue in a lab setting.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- BS or MS in Biomedical, Bio, or Chemical Engineering.
- 5-7 years of experience in biologic or medical device R&D/manufacturing.
- Experience with regenerative medicine biomaterials.
- Strong technical understanding of biologic materials and tissue handling.
- Creative problem‑solver with experience in analytical testing and biologic process development.
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry or bioanalytical techniques is a plus.
