Senior Information Security Analyst

A client is looking to hire an Information Security Analyst at an AVP level responsible for the evaluation, design, implementation, and administration of security systems, and secure configuration of on-premises and cloud based enterprise technologies. This position is ONSITE 3 days a week in NEW YORK CITY.

This client is a financial guaranty insurance company that insures municipal bonds, public infrastructure, and structured financings.

Description

• Responding to security incidents and managing incident response.
• Administering and supporting security systems, including endpoint security, cloud applications, email security, network security, data loss prevention, and vulnerability management.
• Configuring and maintaining security tools like SIEM and secure configurations for operating systems and applications.
• Assisting with the implementation of security projects and conducting research, development, and testing of security solutions.
• Evaluating security products, vendors, and performing security assessments for new applications and changes.

Profile

• 4+ years of experience in a mid-senior level information security analyst/engineer position
• Someone who is not just administering security procedures but has experience designing, implementing, and maintaining procedures. This is more of the engineering aspect of information security.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in the following:
• Incident Response
• Advanced Endpoint Security
• Network Security - Firewalls, Network Access Controls
• SIEM
• Ideally coming from a Microsoft operating and application environment
• Knowledge of all aspects of security including network security, cloud security, application security, email security
