Modeling Manager/Analyst/PM

The Modeling Manager will lead financial and tax credit modeling for LIHTC equity investments, supporting underwriting, structuring, and closing activities. This role requires deep technical LIHTC knowledge, strong partnership tax understanding, and advanced Excel modeling skills.

Client Details

This opportunity is with a nationally recognized affordable housing equity investor specializing in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions. The firm partners with developers and nonprofit sponsors to structure and invest in complex, high-impact affordable housing projects across the U.S.

Description

  • Build, maintain, and review detailed LIHTC partnership and yield models
  • Analyze minimum gain, capital accounts, depreciation, and loss allocations
  • Model impacts of elections such as 168(h) and 266 on credit basis
  • Evaluate deferred developer fees, federal grants, and financing structures
  • Support underwriting, structuring, and closing of LIHTC transactions
  • Collaborate with investment, legal, and asset management teams
  • Prepare model outputs, sensitivities, and presentations for stakeholders
  • Ensure models align with LIHTC regulations and IRS requirements

Profile

A successful Modeling Manager/Analyst/PM should have:

  • Extensive experience with LIHTC financial and partnership tax modeling
  • Strong understanding of minimum gain, credit allocation, and basis rules
  • Advanced Excel skills, including INDEX MATCH, XLOOKUP, and yield functions
  • Ability to analyze complex data and communicate results clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions
