Director of Construction - Luxury Residential - Western MA
We are partnering with a nationally recognized luxury residential builder to hire a Director of Construction who will provide strong leadership, mentorship, and oversight across their project management organization. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, focused on elevating team performance, project delivery, and client experience.

They are known for exceptional craftsmanship, a fully integrated construction and millwork model, long‑tenured staff, and a deeply rooted culture of quality and pride. Projects span architecturally significant homes, estates, historic restorations, and highly detailed custom builds across Massachusetts and select coastal markets.
Description
- Provide hands‑on leadership, mentorship, and development to PMs and APMs, ensuring high performance and strong collaboration.
- Oversee project execution standards, quality control expectations, and construction best practices across all active projects.
- Partner closely with field leadership to ensure seamless coordination between office, millwork, and site teams.
- Support preconstruction planning, scheduling, budgeting reviews, and risk mitigation.
- Elevate communication, accountability, and professionalism across the construction organization.
- Represent the construction team in leadership meetings, partnering with the CEO on strategy, staffing, and operational improvements.
- Uphold the company's white‑glove client experience and reputation for excellence in the luxury custom home space.
Profile
- 15-20+ years of experience in high‑end luxury residential construction ($5M+ projects).
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing PMs and APMs strong soft skills are critical.
- Background in ground‑up custom homes, large‑scale renovations, or architecturally complex residential builds.
- Strong communicator with the ability to inspire, coach, and drive results.
- Ability to collaborate in a highly detailed, design‑driven, client‑sensitive environment.
