Project Manager - High-End Architectural Millwork

This role oversees the full lifecycle of complex architectural woodwork projects, from initial shop drawing coordination through to final site installation. You will serve as the primary link between the manufacturing floor in Irvington and high-profile job sites across the New York metropolitan area.

Our client is a premier, AWI-certified design-build firm specializing in custom millwork, ornamental metal, and specialty stone fabrication. Operating out of a state-of-the-art facility in Northern New Jersey, they are known for executing high-precision interiors for the world's most recognizable luxury retailers and commercial developers.

Description

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Take full ownership of project budgets, schedules, and material procurement to ensure profitable and timely delivery.
  • Technical Coordination: Review architectural blueprints and shop drawings to ensure design intent aligns with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Act as the lead point of contact for General Contractors, architects, and internal shop foremen to resolve site conditions and design challenges.
  • Field Supervision: Conduct site visits for field measurements and oversee installation teams to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Profile

  • 3+ years of experience managing commercial millwork projects
  • Must be comfortable with travel. 70% of projects will be in Manhattan. Also work in Brooklyn, NJ, and some national.
  • The ideal candidate brings a deep technical understanding of woodworking joinery and high-end finishes, coupled with the organizational rigor required to manage multiple fast-tracked commercial projects simultaneously.
  • You should be a proactive communicator who can navigate the fast-paced environment of a busy production shop while maintaining a professional presence during executive-level site meetings.
