Quality Engineer - Manufacturing - Middlebury, CT
Client Details
Our client is a growing manufacturing organization known for producing high‑reliability products in regulated industries. They offer a collaborative environment where quality has a strong voice and engineers are empowered to influence processes and outcomes.Description
- Develop and implement quality inspection and assurance plans
- Lead root cause investigations, CAPAs, and customer complaint resolution
- Design and support inspection tools, gauges, fixtures, and CMM programs
- Partner with production and engineering on non‑conforming material disposition
- Train and mentor inspectors, operators, and engineering staff on quality standards
- Support internal audits, supplier quality, and QMS initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement, SPC, PPAP, and PFMEA activities
Profile
- 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality systems
- Experience in regulated industries (military, aerospace, medical, or defense)
- Hands‑on experience with inspection methods, gauging, and metrology
- Ability to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally
