Maintenance Technician - Manufacturing - Stoneham, MA

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems within the industrial manufacturing environment. This role focuses on performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to support the entire plant.

My client is a growing, highly technical industrial manufacturer based out of the Stoneham, MA area. In this hands-on role, you'll provide technical support across unit operations, lead equipment troubleshooting, and drive improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and performance.

Description

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:

• Troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues across site operations
• Leading root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
• Developing and executing preventive maintenance programs
• Driving improvement projects to boost reliability, efficiency, and product quality
• Supporting installation, commissioning, and start-up of new equipment
• Creating and maintaining maintenance procedures and safety protocols
• Ensuring compliance with EH&S regulations and promoting a strong safety culture
• Providing off-shift support for continuous operations
• Performing other duties as assigned

Profile

A successful Maintenance Technician should have the following qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve equipment/process issues
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and meet physical demands of the role
• Experience improving OEE, cycle time, and material efficiency
• Familiarity with CAD, 3D printing, and machining
• Knowledge of PLC systems, batching, and process controls
• Background in DFM and RCA techniques
• Experience with heat pumps, chillers, or commercial boilers
• Understanding of IoT integration in industrial systems
