Manufacturing Engineer

The manufacturing engineer will lead as a technical expert in driving continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing facility. Utilize metal fabrication experience, LEAN manufacturing skills, and process development abilities to enhance manufacturing processes for existing and new product lines.

Client Details

My client is a global manufacturing company specializing in mechanical solutions, including metal stamping, plastic injection molding, and high-level assembly. Their Chicagoland facility spans 160,000 square feet and serves as a key hub for their operations.

Description

The manufacturing engineer will be responsible for acting as a liaison between sales and manufacturing team to ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include generating BOMs, SOPs, defining manufacturing processes, and creating fixtures and jigs to support production lines.

Profile

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes (robotic welding, manual welding, metal stamping, press brakes)
• Experience with CAD software
• Strong communication skills
• Custom product experience
• Blueprint interpretation
