Assistant Project Manager - Rapidly Growing General Contractor
One of Wisconsin's fastest growing construction firms is actively seeking an assistant project manager to join their team for the long-term. This role is not a typical APM role as you will be coordinating subcontractors, leading meetings, and acting as a main point of contact for key clients much sooner than at other firms. This client was recently named one of the fastest-growing construction firms in all of Southeast Wisconsin. Founded by executives from larger GCs, they are looking to add an assistant project manager who wants to grow with the company for the long-haul in both responsibility and compensation.

Description
- Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and tracking all phases of commercial construction projects.
- Assist with scheduling, progress reporting, and maintaining project timelines and milestones.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of labor and materials.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to verify scope, accuracy, and compliance.
- Help manage project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and logs.
- Monitor site activities to support quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to plans.
- Assist with budget tracking, cost control, and preparation of pay applications.
- Communicate regularly with the project team, consultants, and clients to support issue resolution.
Profile
- 1+ year of commercial construction experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to act as a main point of contact for key clients
- Passion for construction
Job Offer
- Base salary of $75K-$90K, dependent on qualifications
- Yearly bonus of 10% of base salary
- Yearly profit sharing contribution of an additional 10% of base salary
