Engineering Manager - Kennebunk, ME
The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing all engineering design and project delivery activities within the organization. This leader ensures projects meet performance, quality, and safety requirements while continually improving internal processes. The role involves technical oversight, resource planning, team leadership, communication across departments, and playing a key role in long-term operational strategy. Projects vary widely in size and complexity, offering exposure to both small custom upgrades and major buildouts for large-scale manufacturers.

The company supports customers across food, beverage, dairy, personal care, and life sciences manufacturing, offering end-to-end services including engineering design, project management, modular fabrication, process piping, automation, commissioning, and field installation. Known for strong technical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and long-term customer partnerships.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Engineer/PMs to oversee design strategy, technical execution, and achievement of performance requirements.
- Ensure effective communication of engineering and project information with internal teams and external customers.
- Monitor milestones, deadlines, and project goals, ensuring successful delivery across active projects.
- Drive organizational initiatives that improve operational efficiency and long-term business performance.
- Develop employee skills through coaching, continuous feedback, and formal performance reviews.
- Manage and resolve internal and customer-facing conflicts.
- Establish departmental performance metrics, providing regular updates and biannual in-depth reviews.
- Build and sustain a team culture focused on development, accountability, and talent retention.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years of management experience within a process engineering-related environment.
- Experience designing sanitary or hygienic fluid process systems.
- Strong analytical and engineering mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable plans.
- Skilled in leading cross-functional decision-making and bringing stakeholders to consensus.
- Experienced in full-spectrum project management: quality, cost, timeline, and risk.
- Excellent communication skills-written, verbal, and customer-facing.
- High adaptability, comfortable taking on initiatives beyond standard responsibilities.
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences, or a related technical discipline.
