Cash Application Specialist
Our client, a well-established food manufacturer based in Glen Mills, PA, is looking for an experienced Cash Application Specialist. This is a temp role, and the successful candidate will have 1+ year of cash application experience & be immediately available to start a new role.
Client Details
Premier food & beverage manufacturer based in Glen Mills, PA. This role is 5 days per week in office, and offers someone with 1+ year of cash application experience a chance to work on a collaborative team at one of the region's biggest and busiest manufacturers.
Description
This role will involve:
Cash Receipts Processing
* Receive and record all incoming payments (checks, cash, electronic transfers) accurately
and promptly.
* Prepare daily cash receipts and ensure they are deposited into the correct accounts.
* Verify and reconcile cash receipts to the general ledger.
Reconciliation and Reporting
* Reconcile bank statements and cash accounts regularly.
* Prepare and maintain detailed records of all transactions.
* Assist in month-end closing processes by providing accurate and timely information.
Customer Interaction
* Communicate with customers regarding payment discrepancies and resolve issues
promptly.
* Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Compliance & Documentation
* Ensure all cash handling procedures comply with company policies and regulatory
requirements.
* Maintain confidentiality and security of financial data and documentation.
Team Collaboration
* Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues.
* Provide support for finance-related projects and initiatives.
* Assist in the continuous improvement of cash applications processes.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum 1 year' experience in cash handling, accounting, or a related role.
* Experience with accounting software and ERP systems preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
