Senior Project Manager - Construction
My client is one of Chicago's most established general contractors that has 80% repeat business and an ongoing backlog of projects. They are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager that has experience managing ground up healthcare projects.
Client Details
Our client is an established national general contractor that focuses on large-scale, diverse construction projects. They have a phenomenal reputations among clients and subcontractors throughout the market. They have a strong backlog of projects in their pipeline into 2027. Projects range from commercial, healthcare, higher education, retail, hospitality, light industrial, senior living, life sciences, tenant interiors, entertainment, and luxury residential projects. Description
- Provide project leadership and establish, implement and support a proactive project safety culture
- Manage the development and review of bid packages to procure competitive subcontract proposals
- Manage job-site subcontractor meetings to ensure that the project goals are met
- Review monthly invoices and oversees documentation and approval needed to ensure timely funding for the project
- Lead the management of cost reporting including but not limited to contracts, purchase orders, and scope revisions to achieve defined project goals
- Ensure overall financial health of the project and project forecasts
- Represent our client in the subcontract negotiations
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
- 5-10+ years running construction projects from inception to completion
- Experience overseeing ground-up healthcare projects
- Experience estimating projects
- Design/Build experience preferred
- Working knowledge of construction technology and details. Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings
- Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
Job Offer
- Base salary of $120,000 - $150,000 and up, depending on experience
