Construction Superintendent

Open Construction Superintendent position located in New York City. This Construction Superintendent will be tasked with managing construction staff and hi-end residential projects throughout the New York City market for a commercial construction company.

Mid-sized residential construction company based in New York City. This firm specializes in residential interiors projects throughout the 5 boroughs. They are in the Building and Construction industry.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Construction Superintendent are:

• Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.
• Direct and supervise construction or related workers.
• Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors.
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or construction problems.
• MUST HAVE DOB LICENSE
• Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes or other regulations.

Profile

The successful Construction Superintendent will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management preferred
• Minimum of five years of construction experience required
• MUST HAVE DOB LICENSE
• 5+ years of post graduation construction experience preferred but not required
• Five plus years of commercial construction preferred but not required
