Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily + Commercial - OC

Description
Field Coordination & Execution
- Assist in managing daily on-site construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow
- Support the development and maintenance of project schedules, including short-term lookaheads
- Monitor site progress and report updates to the Superintendent and Project Manager
Safety & Quality Control
- Help enforce site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Participate in safety meetings, orientations, and site inspections
- Assist in implementing quality control procedures and ensure work meets project specifications
- Support punch list completion and project closeout activities
Subcontractor & Site Management
- Coordinate subcontractor work and assist in resolving field issues
- Track material deliveries and ensure alignment with project schedule
- Assist with site logistics, layout, and organization
- Participate in pre-installation meetings and daily coordination meetings
Documentation & Communication
- Maintain daily reports, site logs, and photo documentation
- Assist with RFIs, submittals, and field documentation tracking
- Utilize construction software platforms such as PlanGrid, Procore, or similar
- Communicate effectively with project teams, consultants, and subcontractors
Profile
- Experience in a field-based construction role
- Experience working on commercial construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and site operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with scheduling tools and construction management software
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
