We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing general contractor based in Leesburg, VA. This role offers the opportunity to lead estimating efforts on projects across commercial, retail, hospitality, restaurant, multifamily, and medical sectors, with values ranging from $1M-$20M. The Estimator will play a critical role in project success by producing accurate bids, identifying gaps in coverage, and ensuring competitive and complete proposals.

Description

Estimator - Interior Commercial Construction - Leesburg, VA:

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of estimating activities, from reviewing drawings to producing take-offs, developing scopes, and managing bid coverage. You will work closely with leadership, project managers, and subcontractors to deliver detailed and accurate estimates that drive successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review plans and specifications thoroughly to prepare detailed cost estimates

• Perform material take-offs (flooring, trim, drywall, exterior materials, etc.)

• Develop and level bids, ensuring scope completeness and accuracy

• Identify gaps in coverage and proactively resolve with subcontractors or vendors

• Build and maintain subcontractor relationships to secure competitive pricing

• Manage proposals and bid schedules using Bluebeam and Building Connected

• Collaborate with leadership and operations teams to transition awarded projects smoothly

Profile

Estimator - Interior Commercial Construction - Leesburg, VA:

• 5-10 years of experience as an Estimator with a general contractor

• Strong background in commercial construction projects valued at $1M-$20M

• Highly skilled in bid leveling, scope development, and material take-offs

• Proficient in Bluebeam and Building Connected

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously
