Quality Engineer

My client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of achieving the highest standards of product and process quality. They will be part of one of the fastest growing sites for an industry leading composite manufacturer supporting mainly the Aerospace industry.

Description

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and supply chain, to develop and execute quality plans.
  • Analyze production and process data to identify trends and areas for improvement, recommending and implementing solutions.
  • Oversee supplier quality performance, ensuring vendors meet the companies quality requirements.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including inspection plans, testing protocols, and quality reports.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Act as a liaison between the quality team and customers to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Profile

The successful Quality Engineer will have:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of quality standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.
  • Proficiency in quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and SPC.
  • Familiarity with statistical software and quality management systems (e.g., Minitab, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
