Precon Manager Opportunity - Top ENR Firm - Richmond, VA
The Preconstruction Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a full range of preconstruction activities, including estimating, design management, and subcontractor procurement, for a variety of large-scale commercial construction projects. Projects will be valued between $50M - $300M+.

Description
- Lead and manage a full range of preconstruction activities, including estimating, design management, and subcontractor procurement
- Organize & prepare estimates under multiple contract delivery methods to ensure a complete and competitive proposal
- Prepare accurate and professional bids/proposals that support the Clients or secure new projects while remaining profitable and aligned with quality standards.
- Prepare comparative analysis to previous estimates and establish a clear and concise explanation of the variances for each project stakeholder.
- Evaluate, assess, and apply historical project information
- Represent company at all design/coordination meetings, industry events
- Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and our clients/owners.
- Responsible for the creation, updating, and presentation of project deliverables and tools to clients.
- Coordinate and lead meetings with the owner, architect, and engineer for all aspects of the preconstruction phase of the project
Profile
- B.S. in Construction Management or related construction/engineering degree
- +/- 5-12 years of experience in a preconstruction or estimating role
- General Contracting background
- Strong tenure at current and previous employers
- Must have experience with projects valued at $50M or higher
- Demonstrated history of successfully leading project team(s)
- Outstanding communication and time management skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
