Description

The Multifamily Construction Superintendent - Richmond, VA will be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily construction operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project plans and specifications.
• Coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and field staff to maintain timelines and quality standards.
• Identifying and resolving any issues that arise on-site to keep projects moving forward without delays.
• Enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections to maintain a safe working environment.
• Managing short-term project schedules and look-ahead plans to ensure project milestones are met.
• Maintaining detailed daily logs and reports to communicate progress and challenges to leadership and clients.

Profile

The Multifamily Construction Superintendent - Richmond, VA will have:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or multifamily construction, with a proven track record of managing projects between $10M and $50M+.
• A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required; additional safety certifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address issues quickly and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve potential problems before they impact the project.
• Experience working with diverse teams, including subcontractors, architects, and engineers.
• In-depth knowledge of local building codes, construction methods, and safety regulations.
