MEP Project Engineer | Queens, NY
The MEP Project Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on major commercial construction projects. You'll work closely with project managers, design professionals, subcontractors, and field staff to ensure all systems integrate seamlessly within the overall construction process.

Description
Review MEP design and shop drawings for accuracy, constructability, and compliance
Support subcontractor coordination, procurement, and scheduling
Lead the RFI, submittal, and change order processes for MEP scopes
Collaborate with design teams to resolve field and design challenges
Assist in cost tracking, schedule monitoring, and quality assurance for MEP systems
Support system commissioning, testing, and final turnover documentation
Contribute to project safety initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of MEP experience with a general contractor, CM, or design-build firm
Strong understanding of HVAC, power, plumbing, and life safety systems
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination preferred
Excellent communication and organization skills with a solution-driven mindset
