My client is seeking a seasoned Lead Superintendent to join their team based out of Falls Church, VA. They are a family-owned general contractor with over $400 Million in annual revenue. My client is a family-owned business with over 70 years of experience in the construction industry. Originally founded as a masonry contracting company, they have grown into one of the Mid-Atlantic's top general contractors. With a reputation for excellence and a strong portfolio of projects, they continue to be a trusted leader in the industry.
Headquartered in Falls Church, VA, with additional offices in Richmond, VA, and North Carolina, my client specializes in multifamily, mixed-use, corporate interiors, retail, office, and sports & entertainment projects. Their projects typically range from $10M to $50M, with some exceeding $200M.
Description
As a Lead Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will either lead a smaller project independently or manage a team on a larger-scale development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities
- Ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve issues
- Conduct site inspections to ensure high-quality workmanship
- Communicate project progress and challenges to senior leadership
Profile
- Experience: 10-20 years in construction, with at least 2 projects completed as the true lead superintendent
- Project Expertise: Proven experience in new construction commercial and/or multifamily projects
- Leadership: Strong ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively
- Adaptability: Comfortable commuting to project sites throughout D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia
- Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate and resolve construction challenges proactively
