Project Manager/Estimator - Multifamily Projects - Chicago

Estimator/Project Manager for a general contracting firm working on Multifamily and Hospitality Projects with a value anywhere from $5M -60M. In this role you will be expected to run and organize projects from start to finish as well on put together conceptual bids 1/2 times a week. In order to be successful in this position, you need to have a hard-working, positive attitude and effectively develop relationships with on-site teams

Our client is a general contractor located in the Chicago suburbs Over the past few years, they have expanded their presence across the Midwest significantly and have become more heavily involved in larger hospitality/multifamily projects. They pride themselves on the ability to take on any project type or complexity and deliver quality results. They work on both ground-up and renovation projects in various sectors. Description

• Oversee and run projects from preconstruction phase through closeout
• Organize business development meetings when necessary
• Plans and coordinates project activities inline with company polices and procedures
• Assist Senior PMs with client meetings - establish long-standing relationships w/ clients
• Creates and reviews project schedules
• Coordinate with field crews and superintendents to ensure project delivery
• Responsible for forecasting and estimating costs and changes to costs for project completion
• Ensure safety protocols are being adhered to on the job site
• Travel when necessary (once a month per project)
• Create positive/welcoming work environment for teams
• Put together conceptual bid estimates 1-2 times a week for hospitality/multifamily projects

Profile

• At least 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
• Must have project experience with hospitality and/or multifamily projects
• Bachelor's degree preferred (degree in construction is a plus)
• Conceptual estimating is required as this is a hybrid estimator/PM role
• Organized and able to effectively communicate
• Creative/fun personality
• Prior experience interacting with clients

Job Offer

• A competitive base salary between $100,000-$130,000 (Depending on Experience)
