Senior Quality Engineer - Prototype Manufacturing - NJ
This senior-level role owns the development and execution of advanced quality control strategies across design, manufacturing, and inspection. You will partner closely with engineering, production, and leadership to ensure compliance, precision, and continuous improvement across the operation.

Description
The key responsibilities of the Senior Quality Engineer are:
- Develop and implement robust quality control procedures across design, manufacturing, and assembly
- Apply advanced GD&T and engineering principles to ensure precision and inspectability
- Interpret inspection and validation data to confirm compliance with specifications and standards
- Partner with production teams to identify risks, resolve issues, and prevent recurrence
- Collaborate with engineering to embed quality into product design
- Perform audits and inspections to meet regulatory and industry requirements
- Work with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality expectations
- Lead root cause analysis and statistical problem-solving initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices and methodologies
- Provide strategic input on quality systems, tools, and future investments
- Support internal and external quality and regulatory audits
Profile
The successful applicant could have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years of experience in quality engineering or a related discipline
- Advanced experience with CMM programming, metrology, and process validation
- Preferred experience with PC-DMIS programming
- Strong knowledge of quality systems and regulated environments (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485)
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive corrective actions
- Demonstrated leadership and success developing junior team members
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills
