Description
- Manage the general ledger and perform month-end close activities.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations with proper documentation.
- Handle special one-time and non-recurring accounting tasks.
- Analyze and maintain cost structures for products and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation and variance analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to review and update standard costs.
- Provide insights on production costs, material usage, and labor efficiency to support decision-making.
- Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Perform periodic reviews of inventory transactions to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts, analyzing discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Oversee accounting platforms and provide training and support to users.
- Conduct reviews and audits of submitted expense reports.
- Monitor cash balances and ensure accurate reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Process electronic payments and ensure alignment with the general ledger.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns.
- Work with external auditors by preparing schedules and documenting financial controls.
- Evaluate and enhance accounting processes, analytics, and controls.
- Contribute to the consolidation of ERP systems for streamlined operations.
- Partner with key stakeholders to align financial processes with organizational goals.
- Provide support for special projects and back-up responsibilities.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, including cost and inventory accounting in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
