Director of Electrical Engineering- Semiconductors- Salem, MA
My Client is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead and develop a high-performance team, oversee product development, and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes. The role involves managing project progress, interfacing with stakeholders, and ensuring that all electrical systems meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.

Description
Leadership & Team Development: Provide strategic leadership and coaching to enhance technical competencies and performance of the engineering team. Implement best practices to foster a high-performance culture.
Product Development: Oversee and contribute to product development activities, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet budget and schedule constraints. Utilize strong technical skills to drive successful project outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with marketing teams and both internal and external customers to gather and define project and product requirements.
Process Improvement: Sustain and advance continuous improvement within the electrical engineering development process. Ensure adherence to development procedures including planning, scheduling, reviews, and testing.
Talent Management: Identify staffing needs, manage recruitment efforts, and build high-performance teams. Conduct performance reviews and recommend training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Project Oversight: Monitor project progress, collaborate with program and project engineers, and ensure adherence to budget and timelines. Recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Systems Integration: Manage the interface between electrical systems design services and offshore teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of designs.
Customer & Cross-functional Communication: Communicate project status and updates to customers and cross-functional teams, ensuring that products and projects meet customer requirements and specifications.
Budget Management: Oversee the budget and annual salary plan for the electrical systems engineering group, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Electrical Engineering Degree
Leadership experience
Strong communication skills
Vendor and Customer Experience
Budget and Operation Knowledge

Job Offer
Competitive base salary of $180,000-$220,000
