Description

The Automation Manager will report directly into the Plant Manager and be responsible for:

• Manage development of new manufacturing equipment, including engineering analysis, prototyping, and qualification testing.
• Oversee assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of automated systems.
• Collaborate with customers to align product requirements with company capabilities.
• Lead experiments, risk assessments, and design reviews to validate solutions.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and communicate progress effectively.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering technical growth.
• Approve and implement design or process changes to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.

Profile

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation, preferably within the medical device or highly regulated industries.
• At least 1+ years in a leadership role.
• Advanced proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred) and HMI development.
• Experience with machine design, electrical basics, and manufacturing practices.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, sensor technologies, and industrial networking.
• Familiarity with validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation in regulated environments.
• Excellent project management, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience is a plus.
