My client is seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Manager to lead the design and development of advanced manufacturing equipment, tools, and processes. This role will drive innovation from concept through production, ensuring continuous improvement in performance, safety, and cost efficiency.

Description
The Automation Manager will report directly into the Plant Manager and be responsible for:
- Manage development of new manufacturing equipment, including engineering analysis, prototyping, and qualification testing.
- Oversee assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of automated systems.
- Collaborate with customers to align product requirements with company capabilities.
- Lead experiments, risk assessments, and design reviews to validate solutions.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and communicate progress effectively.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering technical growth.
- Approve and implement design or process changes to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.

Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation, preferably within the medical device or highly regulated industries.
- At least 1+ years in a leadership role.
- Advanced proficiency with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred) and HMI development.
- Experience with machine design, electrical basics, and manufacturing practices.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, sensor technologies, and industrial networking.
- Familiarity with validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation in regulated environments.
- Excellent project management, troubleshooting, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience is a plus.
