Assistant Construction Project Manager - $220M University will be responsible for:Assisting & reporting to the PM/Super
Onsite in Northampton, MA daily
Participating in the design process providing budget, schedule, and construct-ability input
Reviewing and interpreting plans & specifications
Managing relationships and interfacing with appropriate personnel on a daily basis
Preparing requests for proposals, analyzing/aligning bids, making award recommendation
Negotiating and preparing construction & consultant contracts
Providing day-to-day management, technical direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities
Reviewing and tracking project invoices, RFIs, Submitals, Budgets
Developing, managing, and updating project schedule
Evaluating and negotiating pay requests and change orders
Administering punch list and project close-out activities
Reporting project status regularly

Description
The Construction Project Manager - Ground Up Multifamily Projects - MA will be responsible for:
- Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle, from planning through to completion.
- Oversee day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination of team activities.
- Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements and manage expectations.
- Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and vendors, ensuring they meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
- Manage project risk and resolve issues as they arise.
- Ensure all safety standards and regulations are adhered to on-site.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Profile
The successful candidate has:
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management.
- Proven experience in managing projects in sectors such as Healthcare, Education, or Commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, cost estimation, and risk management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
