My client is a leading nutraceutical manufacturing company based in Los Angeles, California. We're looking for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain team and play a key role in sourcing the materials that help bring our products to life.

My client is a fast growing company within the nutraceutical manufacturing industry. They package and distribute their products to stores and customers worldwide.

Description

The responsibilities of the Buyer for the nutraceutical manufacturing company are

• Source and purchase raw materials (e.g., powders, capsules, botanicals), packaging (e.g., bottles, labels, cartons), and indirect goods

• Manage supplier relationships, including cost negotiations, lead time agreements, and quality expectations

• Collaborate with the production, quality, and R&D teams to ensure all materials meet regulatory and formulation requirements

• Track purchase orders and maintain accurate records in ERP system (NetSuite experience is a plus)

• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking and support forecasting efforts

• Identify and qualify new suppliers to diversify the supply base and reduce risk

• Work with QA/QC to ensure vendor compliance with cGMP and FDA standards

Profile

A successful Buyer candidate must have

• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment; nutraceutical, food, or pharmaceutical industry preferred

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

• Familiarity with FDA/cGMP-regulated environments

• Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
