CNC Manufacturing Engineer | Buffalo Grove, IL
Our client is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to serve as the lead engineer for their family-owned business. This position will be responsible for the oversight, improvement, and expansion of our client's CNC manufacturing operations, and will report directly to the company President.

Our client is a leading supplier of custom CNC machined parts for Tier I suppliers in agriculture/construction equipment, automotive, and industrial spaces. The company has been around 70+ years and has maintained their proud, family-oriented culture. With a forecast for impressive growth over the next year, they are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help facilitate the expansion of their production.
Description
- Lead programmer for all CNC machinery
- Set-up, code and troubleshoot all machinery on the shop floor as needed
- Implement process improvements for machines and floor space
- Evaluate vendors and educate upper management on decision pertaining to the purchase of new machinery.
- Maintain machinery and perform ROI analysis for new cost purchases.
- Design tooling and fixtures in SolidWorks
- Responsible for handling & interpretation of blueprints
- Set up floor plans and processes for manufacturing
Profile
- 5+ years' experience with hands on manufacturing in CNC machining environments
- Ability to program CNC machines
- Proficiency in setup, programming, & troubleshooting of CNC lathes
- Knowledge of tooling/work holding design and development
- Familiarity with G-code and other CAD/CAM programs
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Experience leading CapEx projects
Job Offer
- Base Salary of $80,000 to $100,000 depending on level of experience
- Annual Bonus (company profit based)
