Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily Construction
The Construction Assistant Superintendent leads projects by organizing, planning, and overseeing project tasks. They complete quality inspections and supervise all project members, including staff and sub-contractors.

Our client is a well established Builder/developer in Ohio. With a focus on Multi-family projects. This firm is working on some of Ohio's most prominent Multifamily developments. Their commitment to employee success is unparalleled, and they are looking for a strong Assistant Superintendent to grow and develop with their resources and expertise into a LEad Superintendent role and beyond.
Description
- Leading and managing the on-site construction team.
- Coordinating and overseeing all work on site.
- Resonsible for project punch out work.
- Attending production meetings.
- Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these.
- Ensuring quality standards are met.
- Placing orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Following the project time line to ensure deadlines are met.
- Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness.
- Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFIs.
- Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
Profile
- 2+ years of experience with a Multifamily contractor or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability of project teams with successful outcomes
- In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and manpower
- Proficient in basic use and functions of a personal computer
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- Experience with Scheduling
- Good time management skills
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment
Job Offer
- Competitive base salary compensation - $70,000 - 90,000
- Vehicle allowance of $500 a month
