Our Aerospace Manufacturing client is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to support precision machining operations for aerospace components. This role emphasizes expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), root cause analysis, and compliance with stringent aerospace quality standards. Description
The Quality Engineer - Aerospace Machining Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and maintain quality assurance processes for aerospace machining operations in compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles to verify dimensional accuracy of machined components.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements and review supplier documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions for nonconformances.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, and audit findings.
- Utilize quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, and PPAP to monitor and enhance process capability.

Profile
The ideal Quality Engineer - Aerospace Machining Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within aerospace machining or precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and AS9102 standards.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CMM programming and advanced inspection techniques.
- ASQ certifications (CQE or CQA) or Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and quality management software.
