Quality Engineer - Manufacturing - Exeter, NH
The Quality Engineer will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with NQA-1 standards and customer specifications while conducting audits, corrective actions, and quality reviews. They will collaborate with internal teams and customers, applying strong GD&T knowledge and excellent organizational skills to maintain high-quality standards across projects at our Exeter, NH facility.

Description
The Quality Engineer, Industrial Manufacturing, will:
- Review customer contracts and specifications to ensure compliance with national and international standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME, ANSI, ISO).
- Assist in expanding NQA-1 ASL and perform CSG Surveys and NQA-1 Audits as needed.
- Provide front-end project quality reviews of customer-supplied documentation for NQA-1 / QAR projects.
- Prepare and approve Quality Assurance documentation for NQA-1 / QAR projects.
- Conduct NQA-1 audits and CGD surveys on legacy projects as required.
- Plan and execute supplier audits and CGD surveys, traveling to vendor sites as needed.
- Issue corrective action reports and track the closure of CGD Surveys and NQA-1 audits.
- Assist the Quality Manager with general QA-related issues and concerns.
- Help maintain ISO 9001 and NQA-1 manuals, procedures, operating instructions, and forms.
- Interface with internal teams and customers to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Ensure all documentation and audits comply with applicable standards and specifications.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in NQA-1 and QAR projects.
Profile
- 3-7 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with a strong background in GD&T.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Customer-facing experience with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with NQA-1 standards or similar quality assurance frameworks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks on time and with accuracy.
- Strong comprehension, reasoning, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform vendor site audits and move between the office and production floor.
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, and read documents.
- Strong verbal communication skills, able to speak and listen effectively in person and over the phone.
