AR Specialist

Our client is looking an an AR Specialist to join the team. This individual will be assisting with all AR Related functions, as well as helping out with tasks within the Accounting department as needed.

Description

• Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments
• Review accounts on a weekly basis to assess aging and pursue collection of funds
• Research customer deductions and verify there accuracy
• Update and maintain customer master files
• Research invoice discrepancies (price, quantity, other) with appropriate functional team member
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
• Meet monthly close deadlines
• Handle customer collections, record payments, and inquiries
• Ad-hoc reports upon request

Profile

• 3-5+ years of accounts receivable experience
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Fishbowl and Microsoft Dynamics
• Understanding of accounting
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail
• High sense of urgency
• Ability to prioritize and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Motivated, self-starter that can also work as part of a team
