Commercial Interior Project Manager- Cherry Hill

The Project Manager will oversee commercial interior fit‑out projects from preconstruction through close‑out, with a strong emphasis on bidding, budgeting, and schedule control. This role requires hands‑on experience managing retail and restaurant construction projects in union environments while ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Description

  • Lead projects through preconstruction, bidding, and procurement, including subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and scope reviews
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls from award through completion
  • Oversee commercial interior retail and restaurant fit‑out projects, ensuring consistency with drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Manage and coordinate union subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and municipal officials
  • Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals to mitigate risk and maintain profitability
  • Enforce jobsite safety standards, quality control procedures, and local code compliance
  • Deliver projects on time and within budget while maintaining strong client relationships

Profile

A successful Commercial Interior Project Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction
  • Proven background in preconstruction and competitive bidding
  • Direct experience managing commercial interior retail and restaurant fit‑outs
  • Strong working knowledge of union contractors and labor agreements
  • Excellent organizational, financial, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple fast‑track projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
