Process Engineer - Plastics - Merrimac, MA
I am seeking a talented Process Engineer to optimize work flow and improve manufacturing procedures. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with a robust understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.

Description
In this role, the Process Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Evaluate and improve on processes in manufacturing systems.
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
- Develop innovative solutions to improve process efficiencies.
- Coordinate with specialists in the engineering & manufacturing department to address issues and implement solutions.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Monitor performance of equipment, machines and tools and order necessary maintenance actions.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Stay updated on the latest process and advancements to automate and modernize systems.
Profile
A successful Process Engineer should have:
- A degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven work experience in process engineering.
- Excellent technical skills.
- Knowledge of process related standards.
- Experience in process simulations.
- Comfortable working autonomously.
- Working knowledge of process engineering software packages.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Extrusion experience is a MUST!
- Injection Molding and compression experience a plus.
