My client, a family-owned business with around 85 employees, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take charge of the Quality Assurance Department from day one. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to drive results.

My client is a custom metal fabrication and precision machining shop with over 50 years in business. They offer a unique product line, including metal storage boxes and pedestals for the medical and transportation industries. Their facility features state-of-the-art, brand-new machinery, and the company enjoys stability due to having minimal competition.

Description

• Manage the QA Department
• Supervise quality, innovate, assess, and improve manufacturing methods in our process centers
• Work with teams to execute continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform root cause analysis and implement effective countermeasures
• Contribute valuable insights to new product development and ongoing production improvements
• Uphold company quality standards and oversee ISO 9001:2015 audits
• Promote quality and lead initiatives
• Oversee PPAP submissions and customer quality requirements
• Monitor product manufacturing processes to ensure quality
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team on product quality and process methods

Profile

• 3-5 years supervisory experience
• Metal fabrication and/or machining background
• Knowledge of entire PPAP process
• Experience working with customers and solving customer complaints
• Ability to maintain ISO 9001 QMS and conduct audits
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading

Job Offer

• Compensation of $85k - $100k
• Discretionary bonus of 7-10%
