Industrial Manufacturing - Maintenance Manager - Derry, NH

My client is seeking a Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee all maintenance activities at their facility in the New Hampshire / Massachusetts border region. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on furnace systems, preventive maintenance strategy, and supporting innovative trials within an industrial metals environment.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day maintenance operations for melting, holding, and casting furnace systems.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate contractors.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and local environmental standards.
• Support projects by installing and commissioning new systems, sensors, and automation upgrades.
• Oversee equipment upgrades, retrofits, and capital projects.
• Track and improve reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, downtime, energy use).

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

• 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience in metals, foundry, or heavy manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role.
• Background in furnace systems (ferrous or non-ferrous) strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with CMMS (SAP, Maximo, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and environmental compliance standards.
• Flexible and collaborative mindset to support technology-driven operations.
