Assistant Project Manager | Commercial Construction

Description

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with project managers to monitor budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain communication with subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Prepare and review documentation such as contracts, reports, and project updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards on job sites.
  • Support project managers in resolving any project-related issues or delays.
  • Track and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to fostering a productive and efficient work environment for all stakeholders.

Profile

A successful Assistant Project Manager (APM) should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction (general contracting experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, etc.)
  • Understanding of construction documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
