Estimator - Aviation Construction

Description
- Manage the preparation and submission of detailed project estimates to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop comprehensive cost assessments.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
- Deliver accurate bid proposals within established timelines to support the bidding process.
- Drive cost-saving strategies by identifying potential efficiencies and value engineering opportunities.
- Operate estimation software and tools to streamline the estimating process and maintain organized records.
- Review and validate estimates from junior estimators, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the estimating process to ensure alignment and transparency.
Profile
Experience:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong focus on aviation-related or large-scale infrastructure projects. Familiarity with the unique requirements and regulations of airport and aviation facility construction is preferred. Understanding of project management processes and modern construction methodologies.
Skills:
Strong analytical abilities to interpret aviation project specifications and deliver accurate, detailed cost assessments.
Proficiency in industry-standard estimation software and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including airport authorities, contractors, and internal teams.
Personal Qualities:
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to precision and quality in all estimating work.
Proactive problem-solver with a knack for identifying cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions tailored to aviation construction.

Adaptable and responsive, comfortable working in dynamic environments. Must be open to light travel (1-2 days per month) for site visits or coordination meetings.
