Quality Engineer | Aerospace | Gurnee, IL
This Quality Engineer will have the chance to come in and immediately make a difference in multiple industries that our client supports, including Aerospace. This role will work closely on internal quailty issues and look to continuously improve the quality department and it's processes.

Description
- Works cross-functionally with multiple departments
- Developing internal performance metrics, tracking KPIs, and driving improvements
- Resolvingnon-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
- Assist with internal audits
- Assisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods
- Leveraging data findings to implement improvements in the process
- Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standards
- Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
- Generating standards for suppliers and internal processes
Profile
- 3+ years of quality engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field
- Understanding of AIAG core tools such as PPAPs and APQP
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes in the electronics space
- Strong understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
- Exposure to ISO 9001 quality standards (AS9100 or IATF preferred)
- Comfortable with travel around 25%
Job Offer
- Base salary up to $95,000 depending on experience and interview performance
- 10% Bonus
