Project Manager - Public Construction
Opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground‑up and renovation projects for public-sector clients, including K‑12 schools, Higher Education, civic buildings, and government facilities.

Description
- Manage K‑12, Higher Ed, civic, and public-sector construction projects from preconstruction through turnover.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Serve as primary point of contact for owners, design teams, and inspectors.
- Review drawings, process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all project documentation.
- Oversee site activities, safety compliance, and quality standards.
- Coordinate subcontractors and negotiate scopes of work.
- Lead OAC, internal team, and subcontractor meetings.
- Conduct site walks and ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Manage closeout, punch lists, and warranty processes.
- Mentor junior PMs, APMs, and project engineers.
Profile
- 5-10+ years of experience managing public-sector commercial construction projects.
- Knowledge of public procurement, permitting, inspections, and Florida building codes.
- Experience with ground‑up construction, sitework, and MEP coordination.
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple project priorities.
- Stable career history with a track record of delivering complex institutional builds.
