NPD Engineer - Plastics Manufacturing - Attleboro, MA
My client is seeking an NPD Engineer to lead the development and optimization of new plastic products, from concept to production, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in polymer science, experience with injection molding processes, and a proven track record of driving projects to successful completion in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Description
In this role you will report directly into the VP of New Product Development and be responsible for:
- Leading the design, development, and optimization of new plastic products from concept through production.
- Collaborating with R&D, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements and market demands.
- Utilizing expertise in polymer science and plastics processing technologies to drive innovative product development.
- Managing and executing product development projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful market introduction.
- Participating in prototype development, testing, and validation to refine product designs and processes.
- Providing technical support and guidance throughout the product development life cycle.
- Staying current with industry trends, materials, and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience working with the full product life cycle
- Familiarity with plastic and polymer products
- Thermoforming experience a plus
- Project Management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
