Project Manager - Higher Education Construction

Our client is one of Columbus's most well respected general contractors. They have a large backlog of diverse projects. The Project Manager will have opportunity to learn about all different areas of construction. They're offering fantastic benefits, 401K, car allowance, phone allowance and bonus potential. Client Details

Our client is a top ENR rated General Contractor in Columbus that has been in business for over 70 years. Their longevity has allowed them to put the proper team infrastructure in place and establish efficient and applicable processes. They have a focus on multi-family, Healthcare, and Higher Education projects, but work in several other market sectors as well. This firm is working on some of Ohio's most prominent and high profile projects. They offer several training and development programs to help give employees control over their career progression and know exactly where they stand. They also put an emphasis on culture and community involvement by hosting OSU tailgates, volunteering at the local food bank, and other company outings.

Description

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Provide project leadership and establish, implement and support a proactive project safety culture
  • Manage the development and review of bid packages to procure competitive subcontract proposals
  • Manage job-site subcontractor meetings to ensure that the project goals are met
  • Review monthly invoices and oversees documentation and approval needed to ensure timely funding for the project
  • Lead the management of cost reporting including but not limited to contracts, purchase orders, and scope revisions to achieve defined project goals
  • Ensure overall financial health of the project and project forecasts
  • Represent our client in the subcontract negotiations

Profile

  • 5+ years of Construction Project Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of construction technology and details.
  • Previous hospital project experience & ICRA knowledge preferred
  • Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors and clients.
  • Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and electrical.

Job Offer
