Project Manager - Construction - St. Louis, Missouri

Mid-size Firm in Clayton, MO. Autonomy, ability to run entire project lifecycle, 100% local projects Commercial, Education, and Multifamily projects: Ground-up, tenant finish, and reno. Typical project size $500K-$8M. Will remain predominantly multifamily and commercial.

Client Details

My client is a midsized general contracter located in Clayton, MO. They act as both an owner's representative and construction manager, and offers full-service general contracting for owners and developers in industrial, education, healthcare, leisure, office, retail, and historic renovation. Working with some of the area's top architects, my client conducts historical and general renovations, tenant build-outs and ground-up projects throughout the region.

The project managers take a hands-on approach to ensure open communication at all levels, resulting in cost-effective and efficient design, permitting and construction schedules as well as top-quality craftsmanship in every phase of the project.

Description

- Run projects from conception to completion.

- 80% office, 20% field

- Office: Submittals, change orders, scheduling, pay orders, budgeting project and organizing estimate.

- Field: Going through schedule with Superintendent, job site meetings with Foremen, going over safety.

- No travel, furthest project will be in Urbana but they are predominantly within 40 miles of STL.

Profile

- Construction Management or Engineering Degree preferred.

- Client Facing experience, industry knowledge, knowledge of STL market (know which subs to go to, etc.)

- Will look at seasoned PEs/APMs who are wanting to take the step to PM in the near future.

- Ideally, someone with some exposure to preconstruction side and understands the numbers (should be able to know their job cost and put it on a spreadsheet). Can onboard for this pretty quickly for someone with an eagerness to learn.

Job Offer

- Base Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 based on skillset and experience
