Specialize in diverse sectors, including transportation, academic, Water & Waste Water, manufacturing, and Public projects.

They are now looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join their exceptional team! This candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of $50M Providence Train Station project

You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, collaborating closely with Lead super, project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the timely completion of projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship.

Description

The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for:

  • Leading, supervising, and coordinating all construction activities on assigned projects, including scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety compliance
  • Providing hands-on supervision and guidance to subcontractors, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards
  • Implementing and enforcing rigorous safety protocols and practices, fostering a culture of safety consciousness among the project team
  • Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination, and problem-solving
  • Monitoring project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and take proactive measures to mitigate them
  • Conducting regular site inspections and quality control assessments to maintain the highest standards of workmanship
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders
  • Managing and resolving any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of construction
  • Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies, incorporating them into project planning and execution when applicable
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the site as this is an occupied and operational transportation station

Profile

The right Assistant Superintendent has the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction, with a significant focus in one of their sectors, Transportation, academic, public, manufacturing, and water treatmentl projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and completing complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices, with a keen eye for quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-Hour, LEED) are highly desirable.
