Description
In this position, the Manufacturing Engineer's responsibilities will include the following items:
- Metal cutting, tooling machines, and designing fixtures
- Working with a high volume of products and tight tolerances
- Working with specialty materials
- Setting up and programming CNC Machines
- Working in a human-manual transfer environment
- Setting up controls for new processes, quality controls, fixture design, CAD, and science of selection of material
- Working cross-collaboratively with other engineers on the floor

Profile
The Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- Technical Background:
- Strong experience in CNC machining: machine setup and programming
- MUST HAVE: strong interest in defense manufacturing
- Expertise in metal cutting, tooling machines, and fixture design
- Familiarity with high-volume production, tight tolerances, and working with specialty materials
- Understanding of process theory, process ownership, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement (both new and sustaining processes)
- Hard Skills:
- Proficient in CAD, fixture design, and programming
- Knowledge in material science, material selection, and failure analysis
- Experience in developing and implementing quality control plans
- Ability to set up and control new processes, with expertise in GD&T
- Soft Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with associates on the shop floor
- Desire to grow and continue to develop long-term
