Estimator - Commercial Construction - Boston, MA
We're partnering with a well‑established General Contractor seeking a Commercial Estimator to join their Boston team. This role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to estimate projects ranging from $5M-$30M across several verticals.
Client Details
Our client is a highly respected, vertically integrated construction group with a strong reputation, long‑tenured employees, and a deep backlog of work. They have recently expanded and renovated their Boston office and are investing in building out a larger estimating team.
Description
As an Estimator, you will support preconstruction efforts and collaborate closely with the Chief Estimator on competitively bid and negotiated projects across Massachusetts. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed estimates for commercial, multifamily, hospitality, retail, and higher‑education projects (typically $5M-$30M)
- Performing quantity takeoffs using Autodesk Takeoff and Excel
- Soliciting and analyzing subcontractor bids using BuildingConnected
- Supporting design‑build, negotiated, and competitive bid proposals
- Partnering with the project team and leadership to set budgets and develop pricing strategies
- Attending site visits, scope reviews, and preconstruction meetings as needed
- Presenting estimate findings to internal leaders, including the Chief Estimator
- Contributing to the growth and development of the Boston office's preconstruction function

Job Offer
- Salary: $90,000-$120,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid schedule (flexible - typically 3-4 days in office)
