Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant will assist with preparing financial statements, performing general ledger entries, and handling accounts payable and receivable for a large grocery distributor. This role offers the opportunity to support month-end closing processes, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Description
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Perform general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes and assist with audit preparation.
Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Assist with inventory accounting and cost analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and inventory valuation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the distribution, retail, or manufacturing industries.
- CPA & time spent in public accounting ++
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
