My client is looking for an Estimator to join their team based out of Warrenton, VA. My Client is a leading 8A contractor with over 15 years of expertise in underground utility installations, specializing in trenchless methods for the data center and power plant sectors.

With a dedicated team of 15+ employees, including professionals in estimating, project management, and field operations, they focus on delivering exceptional results while growing together as a team.
Description
As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the preconstruction phase of projects, providing accurate and competitive cost assessments to support project success. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for precision and a desire to make a tangible impact on the company's growth and reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for dry utility projects (e.g., electrical, telecommunications, gas) by analyzing project documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment for underground utility installations.
- Compile and submit bids on time, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project scope.
- Source quotes from vendors and subcontractors, evaluating options for competitive and reliable pricing.
- Assess project budgets, identify risks or savings, and collaborate with project management to adjust costs as needed.
- Track actual project costs and compare against estimates to refine future estimates and improve accuracy.
- Analyze project risks related to site conditions, regulations, and potential schedule impacts, developing mitigation strategies.
- Stay informed on local market conditions, industry trends, and material price fluctuations to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure estimates align with site conditions and construction methods.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, assumptions, and changes for internal reference and project audits
Profile
The perfect candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. With 2-5 years of experience in estimating and proficiency in Excel and Bluebeam, this individual is ready to contribute to My Client's success while honing their skills in a dynamic role.
