Plastics Industry - Engineering Manager - Durham, NH
The Engineering Manager will lead and oversee multidisciplinary projects, ensuring the development of design criteria, specifications, and compliance with industry standards. They will mentor team members, manage project budgets, and collaborate with various departments to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions while maintaining efficient processes and timelines.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Support design criteria development, preparation of specifications, drawings, models, and bills of material based on project requirements.
- Participate in reviews of conceptual drawings and layout process flows alongside other disciplines.
- Prepare mechanical bid packages (RFQ) and review vendor documentation from a mechanical perspective.
- Lead small to mid-size multidisciplinary projects and ensure quality and completeness of project drawings.
- Assist in creating engineering scope of work packages and verify all mechanical equipment deliverables.
- Ensure compliance with codes and specifications for major equipment and assess forecast costs for equipment.
- Coordinate major equipment design with other disciplines and prepare material requisitions while working with vendors.
- Act as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Manage department budget and assist with additional tasks as requested by senior management.
- Train and evaluate team members, lead meetings, and monitor attendance while ensuring team performance aligns with company goals.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of leadership or management experience in team settings.
- Proficient in CAD software and familiar with ISO Quality Management Systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a deep understanding of industry codes, standards, and specifications.
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and persistent with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Exceptional client service capabilities.
- Proven track record of managing multiple tasks, analyzing problems, and providing effective solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment while meeting quality standards.
- Highly organized with strong skills in prioritization and follow-up.
