Mechanical Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator for our client's Southfield office. The successful candidate will have a focus in Mechanical estimation, an analytical mind, and the ability to communicate estimates clearly and effectively.

Description

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
• Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

Profile

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding building codes and regulations.
• Strong mathematical and IT ability with an analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of the Property industry and market trends.

Job Offer
